Position Summary:
The successful candidate will report to the Business Unit Manager and support the business units with insights gained from collecting, compiling and analyzing data generated internally as well as from external sources within the aerospace market. The candidate will also maintain the company’s data collection and repository system. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to drive business results from data analytics and is proficient at using data sets to find opportunities for continuous improvement and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding and identifying market trends and drivers and updating forecasting models.
- Collaborate with IT to uncover new data sources to increase data visibility across the business team.
- Expert on data repository for ease of leadership locating data.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources.
- Analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize business results.
- Develop automated data processes using Microsoft’s suite of applications.
- Other assignments and duties to support changing business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or another quantitative field. (Masters preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
