HRS AS A COMPANY

HRS is a global technology company revolutionizing the way enterprises manage lodging, meetings, and workforce travel through AI-driven, data-centric solutions. With over 50 years of innovation, HRS delivers value through its Lodging-as-a-Service (LaaS), Meeting-as-a-Service (MaaS), and Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) offerings, serving Fortune 500 enterprises, leading hotel chains, and mid-sized companies worldwide. By integrating cutting-edge technology across our Copilot and Connect platforms, HRS enables unmatched efficiencies and strategic outcomes for clients globally.

BUSINESS UNIT

The Connect Search & Book domain powers HRS hotel content and services for corporate customers worldwide. At the core of Connect sits the Savings Engine — the transaction and rate intelligence backbone responsible for booking processing, offer computation, rate confirmation, and rebooking workflows. Its performance directly affects booking reliability, rate competitiveness, customer savings, and the end-to-end quality of the enterprise booking experience.

Vietnam is HRS's largest and most strategic engineering hub for Connect, home to multiple high-performing product and engineering teams. The Savings Engine team is based here, with a mandate to modernize its technical foundation and establish an AI-native engineering model. This is a high-impact, business-critical product area — and we are hiring the PM to own it.

POSITION

We are seeking a Product Manager to take full ownership of the Savings Engine product within HRS Connect Search & Book. You will report to the VP Product and be the single accountable PM for this product area — owning the roadmap, defining success metrics, driving continuous discovery, and working as a genuine peer to the Engineering Team Lead.

This is not a maintenance role. Savings Engine is one of the most technically consequential product areas in Connect, and the bar for product ownership here is high. We are looking for a PM who brings structure, outcome discipline, and genuine platform product thinking to a business-critical infrastructure product — and who is energized by working on something customers never see but always feel.

CHALLENGE

As Product Manager for Connect Savings Engine, you will:

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for the Savings Engine — Booking Engine, Offer Engine, Reservation Engine, Multisource (Offer Aggregator), and Rebooking
  • Work in a lean Product Duo model alongside the Engineering Team Lead, with shared accountability for outcomes — not a handoff-and-execute dynamic
  • Apply Working Backwards thinking in every initiative: start from the desired customer and business outcome, define the right problem precisely, and validate assumptions before committing to solutions
  • Define and track success metrics for every product initiative — connecting platform reliability, rate quality, and savings delivery to measurable business outcomes
  • Drive structured discovery with internal stakeholders, commercial teams, and enterprise customers to understand where the product is falling short and what improvements will create the most value
  • Make responsible trade-off decisions on modernization investment vs. new capability development — sequencing the roadmap with clear business case reasoning per phase
  • Be a credible product peer to the ETL: engage on architecture trade-offs, participate in technical discovery, and hold the line on what matters most for customers and the business
  • Identify where AI can create measurable product value in the booking and rate infrastructure — anomaly detection, predictive reliability monitoring, rate optimization — and frame these as testable product bets
  • Use AI tools as the default across your PM workflow: discovery synthesis, PRD drafting, competitive analysis, stakeholder communication, and roadmap prioritization
  • Translate deeply technical platform outcomes into a clear business narrative for VP Product, commercial stakeholders, and enterprise clients
  • Absorb a structured handover from the outgoing PM and establish independent product ownership quickly — the team cannot afford a long stabilization period

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

Product Experience

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, or e-commerce platform products
  • Demonstrated experience owning a backend or platform product — comfortable defining success for a product with no user interface, where outcomes are measured in reliability, throughput, and business metrics
  • Strong command of modern PM craft: outcome ownership, Working Backwards methodology, and continuous discovery — not a feature-factory mindset
  • Metric-driven approach: able to define and track success metrics for platform products and make prioritization decisions grounded in data
  • Experience managing a product roadmap that balances modernization investment, reliability improvement, and new capability development

Technical Fluency

  • Comfortable engaging with engineers on architecture trade-offs — API design, distributed systems concepts, latency vs. throughput, legacy modernization sequencing — without needing to be an engineer
  • Able to ask the right questions, challenge decisions from a product and customer outcome perspective, and understand the dependency and risk implications of technical roadmap decisions
  • Experience working on products built on transaction processing, booking or payment infrastructure, pricing engines, or equivalent high-throughput backend systems is a strong plus

AI Fluency

  • Active, demonstrated use of AI tools in your own PM workflow — with concrete examples of quality and productivity improvement
  • Practical understanding of where AI can improve backend platform products and the ability to frame AI opportunities as product bets with measurable outcomes
  • Awareness of the limits and risks of AI in transaction-critical systems — responsible judgment on feasibility, quality control, and reliability trade-offs

Domain & Communication

  • Experience building B2B or enterprise products with enterprise constraints — data privacy, compliance, security, procurement cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal English — able to engage credibly with engineering, commercial stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Experience in distributed, cross-cultural teams
  • Corporate travel or booking platform experience is a plus, not a requirement

PERSPECTIVE

  • Technically credible, not technically dependent — earns engineering trust through good questions and clear thinking, not through authority or deference
  • Outcome ownership under pressure — present and accountable when things go wrong; connects operational decisions to business outcomes and holds the line on what matters most
  • Comfortable with invisible products — genuinely motivated by platform outcomes: reliability, savings delivery, rate quality; does not need a consumer-facing product to feel engaged
  • High ownership in a transition context — steps into a team in active transformation and sees it as an opportunity to shape something from the ground up
  • Collaborative Duo peer — makes the team stronger through genuine engagement on trade-offs and shared accountability for outcomes

PERSPECTIVE ON GROWTH

Access to a global network of a globally united and mutually responsible "Tribe of Intrapreneurs" passionately dedicated to renewing the travel industry and reinventing the ways businesses stay, work, and pay. Our entrepreneurial-driven environment of full ownership and execution focus offers you the playground to contribute to a greater mission, while growing personally and professionally throughout this unique journey. You will continuously learn from a radical culture of retrospectives and continuous improvement — and actively contribute to making business life better, smarter, and more sustainable.
