Description

At GBBN, architecture goes beyond buildings. We design places that positively impact people—and we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to help lead that work.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic, relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of design excellence, client leadership, and business growth. You’ll guide multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of delivery, partner closely with clients and consultants, and help shape projects that are thoughtful, high-performing, and financially sound. This role can be located in our Cincinnati, Minneapolis, or Pittsburgh office.

Equally important, this role is a key driver of business development. We’re looking for someone who can build trust, deepen client relationships, uncover future opportunities, and help position GBBN for repeat work and strategic growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary client liaison and trusted advisor throughout the process
  • Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for future work
  • Support proposals, interviews, and strategic pursuits in partnership with Market Directors
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary project teams from kickoff through construction
  • Partner with clients to translate business goals into clear project direction
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and overall project performance
  • Mentor emerging talent and help elevate team performance
  • Contribute to thought leadership and the broader visibility of the firm

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Professional Architecture or Interior Design degree from an accredited university
  • 15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years leading projects
  • Professional license required
  • Strong leadership, client management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project finances, schedules, and delivery teams
  • Proven business development and client retention experience
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, documentation, and delivery
  • Experience in the healthcare market strongly preferred
  • Strategic, collaborative, and comfortable navigating complexity

This position offers a salary range of $100,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. GBBN also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Paid time off and paid holidays, including Summer and Winter breaks
  • Professional development support
  • Wellness resources and additional employee benefits

If you’re ready to lead meaningful work, build lasting client partnerships, and help shape the future of our practice, we’d love to connect.
