Sr Software Architect (Tech Lead Java & IA Generativa)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Architect (Tech Lead Java & Generative AI) based in Brazil.

Lead technical strategy and engineering excellence in a collaborative, AI-driven environment focused on delivering meaningful business outcomes. In this senior role, you will connect technology, people, and business objectives while guiding engineering teams through complex architectural decisions. You will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and microservices to design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Working closely with clients and senior stakeholders, you will translate business needs into technical strategies and build trusted partnerships. You will also help integrate Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) into products and software development workflows. Accountabilities

• Technical and people leadership: Serve as a technical reference for engineering teams, guide architectural decisions, mentor professionals, and encourage autonomy, collaboration, and continuous development.

• Engineering excellence: Promote software engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and effective approaches to solving complex technical challenges.

• Client engagement: Build strong relationships with client leaders, lead technical meetings and presentations, and communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

• Business and stakeholder alignment: Translate client requirements into technical direction, align expectations and priorities, identify dependencies and risks, and facilitate consensus among stakeholders.

• Software architecture: Contribute to the design and evolution of software architectures, evaluating technical alternatives and their implications for business objectives.

• Application development: Guide the design of solutions using Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, and system integrations.

• Quality and performance: Support architectural decisions related to scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and overall software quality.

• Generative AI integration: Identify opportunities to apply Generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies within products and existing architectures.

• AI-driven innovation: Encourage the strategic and responsible adoption of AI technologies to improve software development practices and deliver measurable business value.

• Continuous improvement: Identify technical risks, recommend architectural enhancements, and support the evolution of engineering practices and delivery processes.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Software Architect, Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or in a comparable technical leadership role.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, APIs, and system integration patterns.

• Experience working in enterprise environments and delivering medium- to high-complexity technology projects.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

• Experience with or understanding of Generative AI technologies, including LLM integration and potential applications in software products or development workflows.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms is an advantage.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.

• Experience leading technical discussions, meetings, and presentations with clients, business leaders, and engineering teams.

• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, and consensus-building skills.

• Active listening, sound judgment, and the ability to manage conflicts and navigate differing perspectives constructively.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop people while fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to connect technical decisions with client needs and strategic objectives.
