Position Summary
The Payment Systems Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the continuous improvement and effective operation of GreenState's payment systems and related business processes. By partnering with business and technical stakeholders, this role helps deliver payment solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, support compliance requirements, and enhance the member experience. This position analyzes business needs, facilitates solution development, supports system changes, and provides insight into process and operational performance. Success in this role is measured by the quality of business requirements, effectiveness of implemented solutions, operational improvements realized, and the ability to support reliable, scalable payment services across the organization.

Salary range for this position is $79,173.90 - $92,563.38 with a progressive benefit package.

- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify, analyze, and document business needs, ensuring payment system solutions align with operational, compliance, risk management, and member service objectives.
- Facilitate the translation of business requirements into clear, actionable documentation that supports system enhancements, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Support the successful implementation of payment system changes by participating in solution design, testing, validation, and deployment activities to ensure business requirements are met.
- Analyze payment processes, operational workflows, system performance, and transaction activity to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and reliability of payment services by helping resolve operational issues, researching root causes, and recommending practical business solutions.
- Maintain accurate and current business documentation, including requirements, workflows, procedures, testing artifacts, and controls that support operational consistency, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support payment-related initiatives, ensuring alignment, communication, and coordination throughout the change lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver reporting, analysis, and insights that support informed decision-making, operational effectiveness, and service improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance, risk management, and control objectives by evaluating the operational impact of proposed changes and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance payment processes, strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and elevate the member and employee experience.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements/Expectations
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, Operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting business analysis, systems analysis, payment operations, process improvement, financial services operations, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a financial institution, payments organization, fintech company, or credit union environment, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs, document requirements, evaluate processes, and recommend solutions that improve operational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Working knowledge of payment systems, financial services operations, or transaction processing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to independently manage routine and moderately complex assignments and appropriately escalate higher-risk issues.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, operational, technical, and vendor teams.
- Ability to support system enhancements and process improvements through testing, validation, implementation, and documentation activities.
- Proficiency with business technology, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools used to analyze information, support decision-making, and document business processes.
- Must be bondable.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to VP Accounting & Payment Services. Supervisory Responsibilities
