Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support the administration, deployment, integration, maintenance, and modernization of mission-critical SIGINT systems and supporting infrastructure.

This position requires extensive hands-on experience with Linux, networking, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud/virtualized environments, and DevSecOps. The engineer will support SIGINT survey, collection, and geolocation systems across prototype, development, testing, laboratory, and operational environments.

What will you do?

  • Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing, integration, and configuration of VLF/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection, and geolocation systems and software.
  • Support prototypes, development systems, operational-testing systems, test environments, laboratory systems, and operational products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support LAN, CAN, and WAN networks.
  • Configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Arista and Cisco network devices.
  • Configure and optimize networks connecting various front-end and back-end system components.
  • Design solutions and integrate, configure, deploy, test, troubleshoot, and maintain multiple types of network devices.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, particularly RHEL and CentOS.
  • Develop scripts and automation using Python and Bash.
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration-management solutions using Ansible and/or Terraform.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
  • Ensure Kubernetes environments are designed and maintained for high availability, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Support cluster orchestration and containerized application deployments.
  • Manage and monitor hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.
  • Support software and system deployments across Linux, cloud, containerized, and DevSecOps environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex system, network, infrastructure, application deployment, and integration issues.
  • Participate in 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system discrepancies.
  • Travel as required to support information-system installation, integration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Do you have what it takes?

  • US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required
  • 12+ years of experience with software and system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution.• Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • A Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two years of required experience.
  • Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience, particularly with RHEL/CentOS.
  • Strong experience with network design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Experience administering LAN/CAN/WAN environments.
  • Hands-on experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices.
  • Experience configuring and optimizing networks connecting front-end and back-end components.
  • Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and/or Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for software deployment.
  • Experience managing and configuring Kubernetes clusters for high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Experience managing and monitoring hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $200K - $240K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
