Key job responsibilities •Guide engineering on the architectural direction for the platform.
- Define and own the API contracts for core platform services — formal specifications with SLAs, versioning, and support models that partner teams across Amazon rely on as the system of record.
- Establish a federation model where the platform owns the shared experience shell and partner teams own their individual modules through well-defined integration contracts, so new businesses can integrate without ad hoc coordination.
- Build the platform primitives that other product teams design customer experiences on top of.
• Influence senior leadership decisions through data-driven recommendations, business cases, and structured analysis frameworks.
- Establish the documentation, runbooks, and architecture-decision records that keep globally distributed engineering teams aligned.
About the team WW Prime has two core product pillars: Member Growth and Value Proposition. The Benefits, Pricing and Constructs team owns the value proposition for Amazon Prime, defining the benefits, tiers and price points, as well as communicating that value to customers. We partner with almost every consumer business at Amazon to incubate and launch new benefits, and hold ourselves accountable for delivering disproportionate value to customers while growing Amazon's long term free cashflow. We also build tech and product capabilities that elevate cross benefit experiences, such as enabling third party benefits, sharing of benefits, and connective tissue CX across benefits.
Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience managing technical products or online services - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight - Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
