Capgemini Invent
At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.
Your Role
As a Cloud Architect at Capgemini Invent, you will be the technical anchor on our cloud strategy and transformation engagements – an architect first, with the consulting skills to shape strategy and tell the story behind the technology.
In this role you will play a key role in:
Architecture leadership: Leading current-state assessments and designing target architectures, landing zones and migration paths across AWS, Azure and GCP, including complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Workload placement and modernisation: Defining workload placement strategies and application modernisation patterns – from rehost through to re-platform and refactor – balancing cost, risk, performance and sovereignty.
AI-ready architecture: Designing the platforms that make AI possible – data platforms, GenAI and agentic AI patterns, and the infrastructure choices that underpin them.
From architecture to narrative: Translating technical choices into business language – facilitating client workshops and presenting architectural recommendations so they can be understood, funded and sold back into the business.
Solution assurance and bids: Assuring solutions through delivery and bringing technical depth and credibility to proposals, bids and proposition development.
As a Managing Consultant: lead the technical agenda across engagements, assure solutions, coach others, and contribute to shaping and winning new work.
As a Senior Consultant: own the architecture workstream on an engagement, producing high-quality technical deliverables and building trusted client relationships.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile
You're an architect at heart with the communication skills of a consultant. We're looking for individuals with experience in some of the following areas:
- Hands-on architecture experience with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP – professional-level certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
- Breadth across infrastructure, networking, security and data, with depth in cloud migration and application modernisation patterns.
- The consulting-architect combination: technical credibility paired with the communication skills to whiteboard, run workshops and present with impact at senior levels.
- Experience designing for AI and data workloads – or a demonstrable interest in generative and agentic AI architectures – is highly desirable.
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, with the ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation.
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks are nice to have
- Experience working with external stakeholders with the ability to build trusted relationships
What You'll Love About Working Here
No matter the project or customer, your work will have a meaningful impact on society, businesses and lives. It’s really rewarding. And it’s also really varied. You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.
Client engagements give you the opportunity to work with our leadership and experienced consulting management, where you can learn from them, challenge them and accelerate your hands-on experience, delivery capability and industry insights. There are many opportunities like monthly team drinks to connect face-to-face with the wider team over a few drinks in the city. There are regular leadership connect sessions that will give you a different, more relaxed setting to meet up in the office to hear from the leadership, meet colleagues and discuss the trends and insights within the market. Team days are always a chance to connect with the team, have fun and learn something new.
