Job Overview

As our AI Data Engineer, you will run and improve the AI agents behind our data ingestion platform. You are the human in the loop.

At EDITED, you'll be part of our Product and Data team, working closely with our operations and QA leads, other software developers, retail specialists and designers to create data-driven solutions to our customers' problems. We've got huge scope to innovate and we always welcome fresh perspectives. You'll be able to make a big impact, and learn a huge amount during your time at EDITED.

Responsibilities

* Run and improve the AI agents behind our data ingestion platform * Act as the human in the loop, ensuring AI systems produce correct output * Evaluate AI output using golden datasets, regression tests, precision and recall * Read and analyze code produced by agents and retailer websites * Judge AI-generated scrapers and data extraction processes * Collaborate with operations and QA leads, software developers, retail specialists and designers * Explain technical concepts to non-technical people, including clients

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential:

* Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Mathematics, or experience in a software development, data engineering, data QA or software test role * Quantitative mindset with a love of detailed problem solving * Healthy skepticism towards anything an AI tells you * Agile mindset, with a passion for collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning * Preference for making AI systems produce correct output rather than writing everything by hand

Desirable:

* Proficiency in Python * Background in backend or frontend development * Hands-on use of LLM tools for real work, and opinions about where they fail * Experience writing prompts or tool definitions for LLM-based systems, or exposure to agent frameworks * Understanding of how to evaluate AI output: golden datasets, regression tests, precision and recall * Web scraping experience (Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium or similar) * Data QA or web application testing experience * Linux and the command line, Git, Agile/Kanban * Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people, including clients
