The Commercial group is seeking Entry-Level Business Analysts to join the team in Houston, TX.  This position is designed to give recent college graduates broad exposure to Marathon’s Commercial Organization and its coast-to-coast fuel supply network in a supported, team environment. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day system administration support for business unit-specific systems, including troubleshooting issues
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
  • Conducts thorough analysis of existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvements
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
  • Creates and maintains reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
  • Develops process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate current and future states of business processes; identifies bottlenecks and areas for optimization within existing workflows
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to design and propose effective and efficient solutions
  • Provides input and conducts testing for the development and implementation of new systems or process enhancements
  • Communicates to internal stakeholders and trains end-users on new systems or process enhancements
  • Ensures business needs are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders
  • Ensures implemented solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
  • Monitors industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Serves as business liaison for internal and external audits

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience required
