Everforth ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work remotely.
A technical writer will research and produce clear, accurate documentation for federal programs, policies, or technical systems. This role requires close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), program managers, and legal teams to transform dense regulatory or technical concepts into plain-language materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Creation & Revision: Write, edit, and format standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, policy handbooks, and executive correspondence.
- Subject Matter Research: Conduct independent research, interview technical experts, and review legislative or engineering blueprints to verify accuracy.
- Compliance & Standards Editing: Ensure all written deliverables comply with federal guidelines, such as the GPO Style Manual, CIGIE standards, or accessibility mandates.
- Simplifying Complexity: Translate technical or legal jargon into accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders, leadership, and congressional audiences.
- Version & Repository Control: Manage document libraries, track revisions, and maintain configuration control across multi-author projects.
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

Qualifications
- Must have US citizenship.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Information technology.
- Writing & Editing Competency: Exceptional command of grammar, syntax, and lineage editing using major style guides (e.g., GPO, APA, Chicago).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret and cite U.S. Code, federal regulations, or agency directives.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and desktop publishing tools.
