Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer / Data Analyst with 5–8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and dashboards. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into insightful analytics solutions that support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Build robust data models using star schema / dimensional modeling principles
  • Develop and optimize DAX calculations and measures for performance and scalability
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources including SAP, databases, and other data sources
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting layers
  • Optimize report performance, including query tuning and dataset management
  • Work with large datasets using SQL and Python (preferred)
  • Support deployment pipelines and version control practices
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing robust data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes across multiple data sources
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power BI assets by optimizing performance, updating data models, and ensuring alignment with evolving business requirements
  • Establish data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to proactively identify anomalies and ensure reliability of reporting outputs
  • Advanced Excel expertise including complex formulas, Power Query, and data modeling, enabling efficient data transformation and analysis.
  • Proven experience in building scalable Excel-based solutions for reporting, automation, and data validation.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Data Analytics / BI development
  • Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop & Service)
  • Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
  • Experience with data modeling techniques (Kimball / Star Schema)Hands-on experience working with SAP data (e.g., SAP ECC, BW extracts)
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise data environments
  • -Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
  • Familiarity with version control tools
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML use cases in analytics

Soft Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy

Nice to Have (Domain Experience):

  • Experience in Energy, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain domains
  • Strong understanding of SAP functional areas (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain)
