As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and driving innovation across our global operations. You'll work in a dynamic environment, leveraging cutting-edge Azure technologies to deliver actionable insights and support our business objectives.

As a Data Engineer, part of the Credit Lifestyle Protection (CLP) Data team, You will support CLP Business with respect to Reports and Data extracts answering AXA CLP Data reporting requirement using core insurance IT platform leveraging modern Azure capabilities (Datalake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI).

Your main mission is then to implement and develop production analytical systems on key AXA Partners data project until business actionable consumption), maintain and enhance the operationality of the key analytical components at the right-level to ensure that the AXA Data Strategy’s ambitions can be met.

You will be part of the overall Data Partners community, and a key actor of the Data Engineering Network.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Create scalable data pipelines using Azure services like Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Delta Lake to ensure seamless data flow and transformation.
  • Optimize Data Storage: Manage and enhance data storage solutions, ensuring high data quality and accessibility.
  • Support Analytics and Reporting: Develop data models and datasets to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools like Power BI.
  • Automate Workflows: Use scripting and automation tools to streamline data processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain and Enhance Systems: Ensure the operationality of key analytical components and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data seamlessly and deliver high-quality service.
  • Ensure Data Security: Maintain data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant standards and policies.

​What you’ll bring:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of Azure services and ETL processes.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
  • Data Modelling: Strong knowledge of data storage solutions and best practices in data modelling within Azure.
  • Business Intelligence: Experience with Power BI for visualization and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver effective solutions.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a production Big Data environment, with a focus on data engineering/analytics projects.
