Robot Software QA Team Lead

Today, we design the autonomy stack for the company’s entire automation portfolio, combining deep technicalexpertise, collaboration, and a strong hands-on mentality. Our robots are deployed in mission-critical environments where precision, uptime, and robustness are non-negotiable. We are looking for a Robot Software QA Team Lead who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the software quality strategy across our robotics products, ensuring robust validation processes, scalable test automation, and predictable release quality. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and management teams to establish quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster a quality-first culture throughout the organization.

Set things in motion.

  • You define, own, and continuously evolve the software quality strategy, testing roadmap, andrelease validation processes for our robotics products.
  • You lead and optimize integration, system, robot performance testing activities, ensuringcomprehensive test coverage across the software stack.
  • You drive the adoption and expansion of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD qualitygates to improve testing efficiency, scalability, and release confidence.
  • You establish quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to provide clear visibility intoproduct quality, testing progress, release readiness, and risks.
  • You collaborate closely with development teams to improve code quality, testability, and development practices, ensuring quality is built into every stage of the software lifecycle.
  • You mentor and support QA engineers, promote testing best practices, and act as a quality advocate across cross-functional teams.
  • You coordinate testing resources, prioritize QA initiatives, and contribute to project planning to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • You lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for complex software and system-level issues before they reach customer environments.
  • You identify and implement process improvements, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices that enhance the reliability and performance of our robotic systems.
  • You communicate quality status, risks, and recommendations effectively to engineering teams, product stakeholders, and leadership.

Use your skills.

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, robotics, software engineering,mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance within robotics, industrial automation, embedded systems, automotive, or other complex software-driven environments.
  • You have experience leading quality initiatives, defining test strategies, and driving quality improvements across multiple projects or products.
  • You have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, end-to-end, and performance testing.
  • You have hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotics simulation environments.
  • You have a solid background in Python and/or C++.
  • You have a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, embedded software, and system integration concepts.
  • You have experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation tools such as Jenkins or equivalent solutions.
  • You are proficient with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
  • You have excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence quality decisions across engineering teams.
  • You are proactive, independent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You are fluent in English.

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB software testing certifications.
  • Experience leading or mentoring QA teams.
  • Experience testing autonomous mobile robots.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, performance validation, and large-scaletest automation infrastructure.
