Investments and Wealth Solutions

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment. Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Product Development Manager, Discretionary and Alternatives, reporting to Head of Funds Discretionary and Alternatives.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage the discretionary and alternative offerings to support manned channels delivery of revenue targets, with robust due diligence, product governance and strong customer outcomes
  • Define product strategy and system enhancement roadmap; prioritizing fund business model for PB and aligning to HNW customer appetite
  • Set sustainable business model and proposition for discretionary portfolio service and alternatives strategies
  • Initiate and lead end-to-end onboarding of discretionary solutions/alternative funds end-to-end across distribution channels including requirements, approvals, implementation and launch readiness
  • Own the proposition; ensuring appropriate due diligence, governance and timely escalation of issue and risks
  • Oversee due diligence, governance and ongoing monitoring; lead commercialization and channel readiness

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing discretionary portfolio services and alternative investment offerings (e.g., private markets, hedge funds, structured/illiquid strategies) in a Private Banking/ High Net Worth context.
  • Track record of delivering revenue and growth targets through manned or advisory channels while keeping customer outcomes front and center
  • Strong Product Governance, Due Diligence & Risk Control
  • Demonstrable capability to run robust end-to-end product due diligence and maintain ongoing monitoring obligation
  • Comfortable managing issues, and escalating risks promptly with clear remediation actions
  • Strategy, Proposition Design & Business Model Ownership
  • Experience defining product strategy and translating it into a sustainable proposition and operating model (commercial model, pricing/fees, target segments, service model, suitability framework).
  • Ability to align discretionary and alternatives propositions to client appetite, suitability and portfolio role
  • End-to-End Delivery/ Onboarding & Launch Execution
  • Strong project management: dependencies, timelines, stakeholders, readiness checklists, and go/no-go controls
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP
