We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects through the full project lifecycle while serving as a trusted partner to our clients and a key contributor to our growing Building & Facilities market sector. In this role, you will manage projects from concept through closeout, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction objectives. You will provide leadership on construction projects, collaborate with senior leadership, and play a critical role in driving project performance and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as T&M’s onsite project representative, overseeing project and construction activities.
- Manage project administration, including payment applications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily inspection reports, photographs, and monthly reports.
- Lead and document project meetings, including design, progress, owner, and other coordination meetings.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets and communicate potential deviations to the Senior Project Manager.
- Prepare project cost estimates and evaluate project changes with support from senior-level estimators.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with internal and external designers, managers, client representatives, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Adhere to company safety standards and promote a strong culture of safety.
- Travel regularly to project sites throughout Central and Northern New Jersey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience managing projects as an Owner’s Representative throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Experience conducting technical reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Strong project planning, execution, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Experience administering contracts and managing project documentation.
- Experience with New Jersey Municipal Contract Law preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Knowledge of construction and project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and financial management tools.
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $110,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
