Role Overview:

 

Fusang is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. This role involves implementing the industry best practice on cybersecurity in order to protect important data and systems from malicious attacks. Additionally, it is important to ensure our systems are compliant with regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop information security plans, policies as well as system security architectures.
  • Establish security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Be proactive in reviewing and implement new test security protocols, firewall configuration and security software.
  • Develop practical and budget-friendly solutions for cybersecurity issues.
  • Perform analysis on security systems then identify vulnerabilities and create mitigation action plans.
  • Perform audits and risk assessments in order to uncover potential vulnerabilities and take actions to close any vulnerabilities.
  • Use various tools to perform network monitoring in order to search for irregularities and detect potential security breaches.
  • Respond promptly to security breaches and provide detailed reports for management review.
  • Plan and develop systems to secure data from threats, including natural disasters, through encryption and access monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to configure and maintain security infrastructure, and provide cybersecurity guidance across the organization.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Cybersecurity Engineer.
  • Able to roll up your sleeves and perform hands on work and ability to implement security technical solutions.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty (preferred).
  • Have in-depth knowledge about network, application and database security.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of establishing security baselines for IT systems.
  • Good knowledge and experience in risk assessment.
  • Good knowledge about AWS security.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools including SIEM/XDR platforms (e.g., Wazuh, CrowdStrike), WAF/CDN security (e.g., Cloudflare), and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and financial regulatory requirements (Labuan FSA).
  • AI-Assisted Development: Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is essential—this is a core part of how we build software at Fusang
