Senior Automation QA Engineer

  • Job Location:    ITPB Whitefield, Bengaluru Pune
  • Required Experience: 05 - 07 Years.

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong expertise in UI and API automation testing using Selenium or Playwright with Java (Playwright will provide an advantage).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and automation framework design principles.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency in Git, Jira and qTest (or equivalent tools).
  • Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities/Skills Required

  • Good knowledge of Java and OO software design principles.
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, Gherkin and Cucumber.
  • Define and drive QA strategy, test plans and automation standards.
  • Review test cases, scripts and defect reports; track automation coverage and quality metrics.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across manual and automated testing, including defect root-cause analysis and CI/CD pipeline failures.
  • Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps for seamless delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and Maven build lifecycle.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker).
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Maven and the build lifecycle.
  • Good to have: a scripting language (Bash, Python) and performance/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Gatling, JMeter).
