We are looking for a skilled and analytical Data Analyst – BI with strong hands-on expertise in Tableau and SQL to transform complex financial and operational data into actionable business insights.
The role will focus on developing high-quality dashboards, reports, visualisations, and analytical solutions that help business and leadership teams understand performance, identify risks, and make informed decisions. The ideal candidate should combine strong technical BI capabilities with a clear understanding of business requirements and data storytelling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Design, develop, and maintain executive and operational dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Build interactive and production-ready Tableau dashboards that effectively communicate business and financial insights.
- Use advanced Tableau features including LOD expressions, calculated fields, parameters, custom calculations, and action filters.
- Optimise Tableau workbooks, dashboards, and data sources for improved performance and faster rendering.
- Manage the complete Tableau development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
- Write complex and optimised SQL queries to extract, transform, join, and structure data for reporting and analysis.
- Prepare and transform data for Tableau dashboards and business reporting.
- Build reports, visualisations, and analytical solutions using Tableau and other relevant BI tools.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and business stakeholders to define and track meaningful business KPIs.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Develop analytical dashboards covering areas such as risk scoring, portfolio health, revenue forecasting, and business performance.
- Create clear, story-driven visualisations that communicate complex financial trends and risks effectively.
- Validate data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity across BI assets.
- Publish and manage data sources, workbooks, and dashboards on Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Manage Tableau data connections, refresh schedules, permissions, and access controls.
- Support BI governance and ensure appropriate security and access to business-critical reports.
- Troubleshoot dashboard, data-source, query, and performance-related issues.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and continuously improve dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, data definitions, KPI logic, and BI development standards.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data-driven decision-making.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT• 2+ years of overall professional experience, with strong hands-on experience in data analytics and business intelligence.
- 3+ years of dedicated Tableau development experience is highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, and Tableau Prep.
- Proven experience building complex, scalable, and production-ready Tableau dashboards.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of data preparation, data modelling, reporting, and visualisation principles.
- Experience working with financial, operational, risk, or business performance data.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical solutions.
- Experience working closely with Finance, Risk, or business stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, or related industries will be a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of dashboard design, data storytelling, visual hierarchy, and analytical communication.
- Good knowledge of Tableau performance optimisation and dashboard best practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, access management, and data integrity.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly.
- Tableau certification such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist will be an advantage.
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, data processing, or integrating analytical outputs with Tableau will be an advantage.
