Job Summary:

Own the core processing engine and the services around it, the code that turns a day of financial events into millions of journal lines inside a fixed batch window. The most performance and correctness critical seat on the team.

• Experience: 5 - 10 Years

• Education Qualification: MCA/B.E/B.Tech/MTech

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Own the processing engine: set-based SQL inside Python services, concurrent processing, dynamic work partitioning, dimension keys, ledger fan-out

• Own batch orchestration end to end: data-quality gate, currency translation, revaluation, snapshots, period close, every stage idempotent and resumable

• Own performance and concurrency: transaction boundaries, chunk sizing, deadlock handling with backoff, connection usage

• Design services, inter-service contracts, retry semantics and API versioning

• Design and implement REST APIs for processing, configuration and reporting

• Build accounting capability: manual journals, unposting, approval workflow, maker/checker rule lifecycle, suspense, year-end roll, GL export

• Integrate message queues with duplicate controls, dead-lettering and replay

• Write tests for data-intensive logic; mentor junior backend developers

Skills Preferred:

• 5-10 years professional Python, including asynchronous programming

• Production depth in FastAPI, Django or Flask

• Expert SQL and strong PostgreSQL: set-based design, plan awareness, upserts, isolation levels, locking

• REST API design at scale and microservice architecture in practice

• Demonstrated high-volume batch engineering, has taken a workload from hours to minutes and can explain why it worked

• Correctness engineering: idempotency, exactly-once under retry, reconciliation, financial precision
