Scope
The Debt Capital Solutions team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add an Financial Analyst in its Sponsor Finance team in the Frankfurt office with a focus on financings for private equity-backed companies, primarily across the DACH region.

Responsibilities
- Support the day to day execution of financing advisory mandates, including acquisition financings, refinancings, lender educations
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing materials, and other client deliverables
- Support the analysis and negotiations of financing terms and documentation, including the review of key commercial provisions, and help formulate recommendations for clients
- Prepare, analyse, and present historical and projected financial models in support of ongoing engagements
- Assist in business development activities and the preparation of pitch materials to support the origination of new client engagements across various jurisdictions, industries, and situations
- Support relationship coverage of active debt investors, including banks, credit funds, and other alternative asset managers
- Coordinate third-party workstreams with legal advisers, accounting firms, and other professional advisers, and support commercial and financial due diligence processes

Basic Qualifications/Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong academic track record
- Experience via internships within Debt Advisory, Leveraged or Structured Finance, or other similar roles within an Investment Bank or Advisory firm
- A fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, and applications
- Financial modelling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modelling skills
- Understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office tool suit, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English are essential
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to multitask is crucial to meet designated timelines
