About Us

Gambit is the AI-native resilience platform that ensures digital continuity never expires. It unifies governance across cloud, backups, security tools, and IaC; mapping applications, identifying gaps, and validating recovery paths in real time. Gambit turns resilience assumptions into business certainty before an incident ever occurs.

The Opportunity

We are growing the direct Solutions Engineering team to cover the East. As the Senior Solutions Engineer for the region, you are the technical owner of your deals from first conversation through onboarding. You partner with your Account Executives to qualify hard, run discovery that gets to the real business impact of downtime and failed recovery, and prove through a well-scoped evaluation that Balens solves the problem that matters to the customer.

You operate like a security and resilience architect. You own problems, stay curious about customer environments and resilience failure modes, and test assumptions and push to uncover the real business impact. You represent customer interests internally with reasoned requests, and you are comfortable being the technical decision-maker in the room.

What You Will Work On

  • Discovery and qualification. Run or co-run discovery with your AEs. Get to genuine business impact, and qualify for whether the customer can clearly connect an outage to cost, risk, and revenue. Surface weak-fit deals early.
  • PoV scoping and execution. Design and run proofs of value that test the real problem: immutable backups, infrastructure-as-code drift, operational drift, and whether recovery actually works in practice. Tie every technical criterion to a business need the buyer has validated.
  • Technical win. Own the technical relationship and the technical decision. Bring the architecture and resilience story that moves a security and operations audience from interest to conviction.
  • Handoff to onboarding. Drive a clean handoff into onboarding that preserves the context, expectations, and commitments set during the evaluation.
  • Internal representation. Represent your customers’ technical reality back to Product, SE, and enablement with reasoned requests grounded in what you saw in the field.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect, ideally in security, cloud, infrastructure, or resilience/backup and recovery.
  • A track record owning the technical side of enterprise deals end to end: discovery, PoV, technical win, and handoff.
  • Real depth in cloud environments and modern infrastructure: how systems fail, how they are recovered, and where recovery quietly breaks. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud posture is a strong plus.
  • The ability to tie technical proof to business outcomes: risk reduction, cost reduction, and protecting revenue.
  • Clear, credible communication with both engineers and executives, and the judgment to be firm on what matters while staying easy to work with.
  • A base in or strong familiarity with the East territory and the ability to travel when needed.
