Ready to take the next step in your career?

Join a global company shaping the future with technology that drives lasting impact.

Hypertec is seeking a SOLUTION ARCHITECT to join our ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS team in MONTREAL. If you are motivated, collaborative, and aligned with our values, we would love to hear from you.

We believe that how we work is just as important as what we build. Our values reflect the mindset we bring to everything we do:

  • Innovation
  • Trust
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Customer Focus

What You’ll Be Contributing:

  • Translate business needs into solution options and end-to-end architectures, including context, component, integration, and data flow diagrams, technical trade-offs, recommendations, and architectural decisions.
  • Assess proposed changes and solution options across applications, integrations, reports, and data flows to identify dependencies, risks, downstream impacts, and key trade-offs such as configuration vs. customization, platform vs. satellite solutions, and build vs. buy.
  • Design and review application and integration solutions using APIs, middleware, messaging, ETL/ELT, ERP-connected applications, or integration platforms as appropriate, with attention to security, reliability, monitoring, versioning, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate across Enterprise Applications, IT, PMO, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate designs into implementable solutions and provide guidance through design reviews and delivery.
  • Remain technically hands-on enough to build prototypes or proofs of concept and support troubleshooting of complex implementation issues when required.
  • Promote effective use of AI and automation tools across the team by developing practical standards, reusable approaches, and best practices that improve solution design, documentation quality, and delivery efficiency.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, integration maps, data flow documentation, and decision records; communicate options, impacts, and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in solution design, application architecture, software development, integration architecture, or a related technical role
  • Experience designing solutions across custom applications, APIs, integrations, ERP-connected environments, SQL databases, data integrations, .NET environments, and reporting/BI ecosystems
  • Strong knowledge of integration concepts, including RESTful APIs, data mapping, authentication, messaging or event-driven patterns, reliability, monitoring, and API versioning
  • Ability to leverage AI and automation tools to improve productivity, accelerate deliverables, reduce manual effort, and support the development of team best practices for AI-assisted solution design, documentation, analysis, and delivery
  • Exposure to cloud-hosted applications and modern deployment approaches, such as containers or Kubernetes, considered an asset
  • Experience working in ERP-connected environments supporting manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or similar business operations is considered an asset
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams, vendors, and system integrators

What’s In it For You:

  • Hybrid work model (3 days a week in office), supported by competitive benefits.
  • Comprehensive health benefits that ensure you and your family are covered for a wide range of medical needs.
  • Health Spending Account (HSA).
  • Employer-matched RRSP Program.
  • Paid Floater Days.
  • Our head office will soon relocate to a new, state-of-the-art facility in LaSalle, near the Lachine Canal. Designed to set new standards in sustainability, it reflects our commitment to responsible growth and innovation.
