Carrier Marine and Offshore Systems provides advanced air conditioning products and systems for everything from cruise ships to offshore platforms and oil tankers. We are seeking a customer-focused Senior HVAC Project Manager to join our Marine team and help drive technical excellence and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in air conditioning, refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, and Electrical / Automation systems.
- Supervise project performance and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project costs effectively, identifying opportunities for savings to maximize profitability.
- Troubleshoot project challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Communicate directly with external customers, providing technical support and guidance.
- Support marine dealers and customers across Carrier’s product portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Carrier factories to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Present findings and corrective actions clearly to customers.
- Work with Carrier factories and external suppliers to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and oversee compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in all phases of projects—from design through installation and commissioning—ensuring technical compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems in combination with Electrical / Automation systems.
- Marine industry experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience leading project teams or managing multiple small to mid-sized projects.
- Familiarity with commercial or industrial HVAC components, systems, and related Electrical / Automation systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively on HVAC installations.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and prioritization abilities.
- Strong follow-up and follow-through skills to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Exceptional communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, AutoCAD/Eplan is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
