Job Description: Software Engineering – Tech Lead

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer (Tech Lead) with 15+ years of professional experience to lead design and development of high-quality software solutions using industry best practices within our engineering team. The ideal candidate will oversee technical design and development across teams ensuring collaboration and adherence to agile principles delivering enterprise level high-quality solutions on time ensuring industry best practices.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads and orchestrates the design and development of advanced technical systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative solutions while collaborating seamlessly across diverse teams ensuring the timely and effective delivery of high-quality technical solutions.

• Facilitates and drives solution design sessions, producing comprehensive documentation and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders, including clients and senior management.

• Engages closely with clients on strategic projects, building lasting partnerships and delivering cutting-edge technical solutions tailored to their needs.

• Serves as the primary technical authority for high-impact engagements, offering strategic guidance and insights on critical aspects of the organization's technical infrastructure.

• Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to design and implement effective system and data integrations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Spearheads the design and delivery of new product features to address business needs, contributing hands-on to the coding, development and deployment processes.

• Provides mentorship and technical leadership to the team, conducting code reviews, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving skill enhancement across the team.

• Oversees the management and performance of production systems and databases, ensuring reliability, scalability, and uninterrupted operation.

• Diagnoses and resolves complex technical, data, and software challenges, guiding troubleshooting efforts to maintain and enhance product performance in dynamic environments.

• Assesses emerging tools, platforms, and technologies, advocating for innovation and implementing best practices to improve system capabilities and efficiency.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Handson in application development languages and frameworks such as React, Node.js, Nest.js

• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development environments including GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or Claude Code — with the ability to evaluate, validate, and refactor AI-generated code to production standards

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph — including building multi-agent systems, stateful graph-based execution, and human-in-the-loop approval patterns.

• Proficient in designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines

• Skilled in utilizing DEVOPS tools, including Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Docker, and Azure Pipelines.

• Expertise in programming languages like Java/Spring, .Net, AngularJS, Python, Go, and Swift, both on cloud platforms and devices.

• Extensive experience with Azure and GCP cloud technologies, including designing and deploying globally accessible, scalable applications.

• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies for application development.

• Demonstrated expertise in application modernization by transitioning legacy systems to contemporary architectures, such as microservices, APIs, and always-on designs, with an emphasis on leveraging cloud technologies.

• Proven hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design, data ingestion pipelines, and data aggregation

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven expertise in written and verbal communication, adept at simplifying complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

• Experienced in collaborating and communicating seamlessly with diverse technology roles, including development, support, product management, and systems administration.

• Highly motivated to acquire new skills, explore emerging technologies, and stay updated on the latest trends in software development and business needs.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position will not have formal management responsibilities for software engineer team members, as well as management and coordination of any vendor or contract resources related to product development.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s (BE / BTech) / Master’s degree (MS/MTech) in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field
