About the role
Zcelero is looking for an experienced DevOpsLead / Architect for a consulting assignment within a large global organization.
This is a senior technical leadership position combining deep Kubernetes expertise, architecture and hands-on engineering.
You will operate in a complex international environment, working with engineering teams, architects and stakeholders across multiple countries. You will play an important role in defining technical direction, establishing Kubernetes standards and best practices, and driving the evolution of scalable, secure and reliable cloud-native platforms.

We are specifically looking for independent IT consultants who operate through their own company/legal entity and can provide their services on a B2B basis as a subcontractor to Zcelero.
You should:
- Be based in Poland, Latvia, Bosnia & Herzegovina or Romania
- Be comfortable working remotely within a large global organization
- Have professional-level English communication skills
What you will do
As DevOps Technical Lead / Architect, you will take a leading technical role within the platform organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive Kubernetes architecture and technical direction
- Design and evolve large-scale, production-grade Kubernetes platforms
- Act as a technical leader and Kubernetes subject matter expert
- Define Kubernetes standards, patterns and engineering best practices
- Lead and guide engineers across distributed international teams
- Mentor engineers and support their technical development
- Drive improvements in scalability, availability, security and reliability
- Work extensively with AWS EKS
- Design and improve CI/CD and deployment processes
- Work with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers and platform teams
- Support architectural and strategic technical decision-making
- Help standardize platform engineering practices across the global organization
What we are looking for
You are a senior DevOps Engineer and Lead with extensive experience from complex, production-grade enterprise environments.
We are particularly interested in consultants who have progressed beyond purely hands-on engineering and have experience leading technically, influencing architecture and guiding other engineers.
Key qualifications
- Deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes
- More than 10 years of experience as DevOps Engineer.
- Strong experience with AWS EKS
- Experience designing and operating Kubernetes at enterprise scale
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Platform Architect, DevOps Lead or similar
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong CI/CD experience
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture
- Experience with highly available and scalable platforms
- Ability to establish technical standards and engineering best practices
- Experience working across distributed and international teams
- Strong professional English
