We have an exciting new job opportunity at our location in Haarlem and are looking to hire a: Financial Analyst – Animal Health Biopharm

Welcome to our Team You are part of our Finance Team that brings together cross-company financial insights into our overall strategic and tactical decision making. We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis, planning, accounting, reporting and performance evaluation. Purpose of the Role This role is part of the Cost of Sales & Inventory (COSI) matrix organization which performs end-to-end supply chain financial activities, from procurement and manufacturing phase to final delivery of the product to our customers. The position is within the Animal Health Biopharm team and you will be responsible for controlling product cost, liaising with global finance teams and report on the balance sheet and P&L of your assigned entities. You will participate in improvement projects, be a business partner to your stakeholders and support management analysis. Key responsibilities

  • Owning the fiscal month-end cycle for your entities relating to inventory, production costs and other financial reporting activities;
  • Liaising with supply chain management, procurement and commercial functions to ensure that product costs are set appropriately enabling accurate long term planning;
  • Partnering with manufacturing site controllers and commercial entity leads to deliver accurate annual cost and productivity budgets, and inventory revaluation estimates;
  • Providing valuable and timely support to business partners, addressing local/functional stakeholder questions on financial results or accounting guidance;
  • Meeting SOX & internal control requirements, ensuring diligent accounting and reporting;
  • Actively engage in development initiatives that will broaden your knowledge and your skills;

Your profile

  • Fluency in verbal and written English is a must;
  • Holds a BSc degree in finance, accounting or business-related fields (professional certifications such as ACCA or CMA are a plus);
  • Has 1-3 years of experience preferably in controlling, accounting, financial planning or consolidation functions;
  • Has experience in working with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP, BW AFO and Power BI;
  • Has strong planning skills and is able to simplify complex concepts;
  • Has a natural drive to seek improvement and personal development;
  • Is proactive, curious and has a natural communicator;
