Groupe LAR is a Quebec leader in the engineering and manufacturing of complex industrial equipment, recognized since 1942 for its expertise, particularly in hydroelectricity and complex industrial lifting systems. Our integrated approach combines design, manufacturing, and installation to deliver large-scale projects.

We are seeking a Project Manager who is eager to learn alongside experienced project managers and contribute to the successful completion of complex industrial projects.

This position is based at the ADF offices in Terrebonne but requires regular travel to Métabetchouan (Lac-Saint-Jean).

Your Role

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating activities among the various teams involved: engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and project management;
  • Participating in project planning and ensuring that schedules, budgets, and key deliverables are tracked;
  • Participating in project kickoff, production, and progress meetings;
  • Monitor project progress and quickly identify issues that could affect costs, deadlines, or project completion;
  • Collaborate with teams to find practical solutions to technical and operational challenges;
  • Participate in the financial monitoring of projects, including costs, commitments, and cash flow forecasts;
  • Gradually develop your knowledge of contracts, scope changes, and financial matters;
  • Serve as a point of contact for certain clients and help maintain a high-quality customer experience;
  • Travel periodically to visit Groupe LAR teams to monitor project progress and develop a practical understanding of operations.

The Profile We’re Looking For

You might be the person we’re looking for if you:

  • Are completing or have recently completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field;
  • Are interested in pursuing a career in industrial project management;
  • Enjoy understanding how things are designed, manufactured, and implemented on-site;
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems;
  • Are organized, thorough, and capable of managing multiple priorities;
  • Communicate easily and enjoy working with different teams;
  • Show initiative and don’t hesitate to ask questions;
  • Eventually want to take on more responsibilities and manage your own projects;
  • Spoken and written languages: French and English (bilingual)
  • Are available to travel regularly to Métabetchouan (Lac-Saint-Jean).
