Servicenow Technical project manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver software development and ServiceNow-related projects.

The ideal candidate has strong project leadership skills, experience managing medium-to-large teams, and solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Coordinate all aspects of the project throughout the software development lifecycle using established methodologies (RUP, Agile/Scrum, or Hybrid).
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to strict delivery timelines.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to customers, management, and stakeholders.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all project documentation.

Technical & Process Leadership

• Gather and support the creation of requirements documentation.
• Write or review design and implementation documents when necessary.
• Participate in and/or organize design and code reviews.
• Ensure best practices and quality standards are followed throughout the project.
• Support testing and deployment activities, including post‑go‑live processes.

Team Leadership

• Manage teams of 20–40 people, including Developers, Sr. Developers, QA, BA, and vendor resources.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance support to team members.
• Be involved in the recruitment/interview process when needed.
• Approve software tools, licenses, and project-related purchases when appropriate.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with onshore teams, customers, and directors as required.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

Must-Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 6+ years of project management experience, including managing teams of 20–40 people.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with software development, including Object-Oriented Analysis & Design.
• Familiarity with web-based development environments.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and people management abilities.
• PMP certification (required).
• Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office.
