About the Job
As a Data Engineer at Allianz, you'll be part of the Multi-Channel Sales tribe, a team dedicated to driving sustainable growth through technical excellence and data-driven strategies. Our focus is on building innovative campaign platforms and tailored approaches across all channels to support the sales team in achieving long-term success and delivering real value to our customers. You will contribute to the campaign data hub, which provides a consolidated, high-performance operational data hub essential for campaigning processes. This solution ensures daily updates and flexible KPI calculations, empowering business decisions and enhancing the value we deliver to our data consumers within Allianz.
What you do
- Work on a strategic, cross-divisional project within a cross-functional team, utilizing agile methods.
- Build data pipelines with exciting technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Glue, SQL, Amazon Web Services, GitHub, Kubernetes, and more.
- Take on your own task packages in the area of data engineering, including developing and implementing scalable data architectures and pipelines.
- Monitor data pipelines to identify and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through appropriate management and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts on a day-to-day basis to develop new features.
What you bring
- Specialization in informatics or information systems during your studies, or equivalent practical training.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Team player mentality.
- Solid experience working in Scrum processes.
- Proficient SQL knowledge is a must.
- Experience with Git, AWS S3, and knowledge of ETL pipelines is desired.
- Ideally, experience with one or more of the following tools: Snowflake, Glue, DBT, Jenkins, Terraform.
- Strong experience working with databases, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Initial experience with CI/CD processes and infrastructures from hyperscalers, preferably AWS.
- Good command of English (Basic German skills would be beneficial).
