Sauce helps restaurants take control of online ordering and delivery without marketplace dependency. Series B, 4,400+ restaurant accounts, high transaction volume across New York, Florida and expanding US metros. We use AI and automation to reduce manual reporting, improve data quality and accelerate decision-making. This role will play a key part in identifying and implementing those opportunities.
About Role
A hybrid Finance and Data role sitting inside the Finance function. You will be the dedicated bridge between Finance and Data - unifying Sauce's financial data stack and enabling faster, more automated decision-making. You own the accuracy, consistency and accessibility of financial data so leadership can make decisions with confidence.
This is not an accounting role. This is not a pure data role. It requires both.

What You'll Do: Data accuracy and infrastructure
• Maintain and QA all financial data outputs from Preset and Databricks against source systems; flag discrepancies before they reach reporting
• Own the G Suite financial infrastructure - Sheets, Drive, model structure and version control
Core metric tracking
• Build and maintain recurring reports for revenue by channel and order type, delivery margin and order-level economics
• Maintain and ensure consistency of financial and operational KPI calculations across all reporting systems
• Maintain and develop fully loaded COGS tracking: courier fees, payment processing and infrastructure allocation
FP&A & Financial Analysis
• Track budget vs. actual performance across departments and highlight key variances
• Assist in monthly forecasting, scenario analysis and business performance reviews
• Prepare reconciled data and variance analysis for management reporting
• Maintain actuals data to support rolling forecast updates and management reporting
What You Bring:
- Our stack: Databricks, Preset, SaasGrid, QuickBooks, Stripe, Google Workspace, AI (LLM)
• 3+ years in FP&A, Strategic Finance,Business Analytics or Finance Analyst in a technology company
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate data discrepancies across multiple systems and identify root causes
• Expert in Google Sheets and/or Excel - financial modeling, multi-sheet models, dynamic formulas
• SQL proficiency - required; Databricks or similar data warehouse experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with a BI tool (Preset, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of SaaS, marketplace, fintech, or high volume transaction-based business models and unit economics: revenue, COGS, CAC, LTV, margin
• Strong English - written and spoken
• Detail-oriented to the point of being uncomfortable with unreconciled numbers

- Experience working with data pipelines, data models, or analytics infrastructure
- Prior experience in a marketplace, SaaS, fintech, or high-transaction-volume tech environment
