Job Description

Position Summary

The Analyst Technology (Cloud & Power BI) delivers financial transparency, reporting, and analytical insights across cloud and AI platforms. You will develop Power BI dashboards, SQL-based datasets, and data models that support cost optimization, forecasting, budgeting, vendor management, and business decision-making.

Working with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Partners, the Business Analyst identifies trends, monitors usage and spending, and provides relevant recommendations to improve financial accountability and operational efficiency. You will report directly to the FinOps Technical Leader.

Responsibilities

Cloud & AI Financial Analytics

Analyze cloud, AI, licensing, and technology spend trends.

Support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.

Monitor FinOps Indicators and identify optimization opportunities.

Provide financial recommendations to your team.

Partner with Finance and Departments to improve cost transparency.

Power BI Reporting

Design Power BI dashboards and reports.

Develop semantic models, DAX calculations, and data visualizations.

Translate our requirements into relevant insights.

Ensure reporting accuracy, performance, and governance.

Promote self-service reporting dashboards.

Data Analytics & SQL Development

Develop SQL queries, datasets, and data models.

Validate and reconcile data to ensure quality and accuracy.

Integrate data from cloud, financial, operational, and licensing systems.

Perform ad hoc analysis supporting strategic plans and decisions.

Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities through data analysis.

Process Improvement & Data Integration

Support automated data ingestion and integration processes.

Partner with engineering teams to enhance reporting solutions.

Promote reporting process improvements.

Document requirements, definitions, and procedures.

Support chargeback, showback, and governance projects.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

3 or more years of experience in business analytics, financial analysis, reporting, FinOps, or related analytical roles.

Advanced Power BI experience including semantic modelling, DAX measures, Power Query, and dashboard development.

SQL skills with experience analysing large datasets.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Preferred Experience:

English proficiency required, in written and spoken English with technical and your team.
