This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Platform Product Manager based in United States.
This role owns the product roadmap and backlog for an enterprise data platform that supports business operations, finance, marketing, and analytics.You will translate complex stakeholder needs into clear requirements and actionable priorities for data engineering and architecture teams.Working within an Agile environment, you will coordinate sprint planning, backlog refinement, releases, and delivery across cross-functional technical teams.The role combines strategic product thinking with hands-on platform delivery, ensuring data capabilities solve meaningful business problems.You will define success metrics, monitor adoption and data quality, and use insights to continuously improve the platform.You will also help drive adoption through stakeholder communication, demos, training, and documentation.This is an opportunity to shape a critical enterprise data capability while partnering closely with both technical teams and business leaders.

Accountabilities:
- Own and continuously maintain the enterprise data platform roadmap and backlog, prioritizing new capabilities, integrations, technical debt, and platform improvements.
- Partner with senior product leadership, Data Engineering, and Data Architecture to align platform priorities with broader technology strategy and business objectives.
- Gather, document, evaluate, and prioritize requirements from Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and actionable technical priorities.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination while working with Data Engineering, Architecture, and QA teams to support timely delivery.
- Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, communicating priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
- Define and monitor platform KPIs, including adoption, data quality, delivery velocity, and business impact.
- Use data insights, stakeholder feedback, and technical input to guide product decisions and continuously improve platform capabilities.
- Manage platform-related support requests, triage issues, and coordinate resolution with appropriate technical owners.
- Support data integrations and reporting initiatives involving enterprise systems such as Yardi, RealPage, UKG, and Salesforce.
- Facilitate stakeholder demonstrations, training sessions, and documentation to encourage adoption of new platform features and reporting capabilities.
- Leverage AI productivity tools, including solutions such as Claude, to accelerate requirements documentation, backlog refinement, and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain strong relationships across business and technology teams through a collaborative, consultative approach.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, platform effectiveness, and the overall value delivered to internal customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role, ideally supporting a data, analytics, or technology platform.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams, including data engineering, data architecture, or software development.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum product delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, refinement, and release coordination.
- Familiarity with backlog and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Zendesk is preferred.
- Working knowledge of data platform concepts, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to define, interpret, and communicate metrics measuring platform adoption, data quality, delivery performance, and business impact.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests and competing priorities.
- Ability to turn unclear or complex business requirements into well-defined, actionable technical requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and business requirements to technical teams.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift.
- Experience in the multifamily housing or property management industry is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform standard office-related activities.
- Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace required when working remotely.
- Ability to travel overnight approximately quarterly, as needed.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required, subject to applicable local and state requirements.
