Are you passionate about analytics, finance, and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Business Performance & Finance Analyst to join the team and help drive smarter business decisions with strategic insight. You will join our corporate office in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the V.I.E (Volontariat International en Entreprise) programme!  
What is the V.I.E programme?
As a European Economic Area (EEA) national, aged between 18 and 28, Business France’s V.I.E programme is your chance to embrace an international experience in a leading scientific network. The 12-month contract includes a monthly allowance and Business France helps with administrative support for a smooth transition abroad.   
Candidates must be eligible for the V.I.E programme at the time of application.

Type of contract: V.I.E programme, 12 months, renewable. 
Position & objectives:  
In this role, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to monitor business performance, deliver high-quality insight, and contribute to finance transformation initiatives across the network. If you are curious, analytical, and enjoy turning data into action, this could be your next step. More specifically, you will:
Drive performance insights
- Define, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the network.
- Develop and enhance dashboards and reporting templates that provide clear, reliable, and actionable insights.
- Ensure data quality and deliver performance reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Turn data into business value
- Collect, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to answer both recurring and ad hoc stakeholders questions.
- Identify trends, highlight opportunities, and provide recommendations that help drive performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the continuous improvement of finance processes by implementing new tools and optimising existing systems.
- Help simplify workflows, enhance reporting capabilities, and increase operational efficiency across the network.
Contribute to transformation projects
- Participate in finance and transformation initiatives from planning through to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.

Qualifications
Education: Recently graduated with a master’s degree from a top science, engineering or management university.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (oral and written). Additional languages are a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially with Excel. Power BI is desirable. Proficiency in data analysis, data visualisation, and reporting tools.
Personal Skills: Strong problem-solver with “can-do” attitude, strong analytical skills, curious and detail-oriented, conceptual thinking skills.
