Position Overview SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support mission-critical operations in a secure, controlled data environment. This role focuses on advanced data analysis, automation, and reporting to drive informed decision-making at leadership levels.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze large, relational datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and performance gaps
- Translate raw data into actionable insights to support leadership decision-making
- Identify degraders, shortages, and operational inefficiencies
SQL Development
- Write clean, efficient, and production-ready SQL (Amazon Redshift, Oracle SQL Developer)
- Utilize advanced SQL techniques (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, aggregations)
- Optimize queries for performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies across multiple data sources
Data Quality & Validation
- Implement automated validation checks (row counts, duplicates, completeness, integrity)
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data before reporting
- Identify and resolve root causes of data inconsistencies
Automation & ETL Processes
- Support and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows
- Build automated processes for data ingestion, transformation, and validation
- Implement scheduling/orchestration tools (cron, AWS services, Airflow, or equivalent)
- Ensure processes run without manual intervention
Scripting & Process Automation
- Develop scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Automate data pulls, file processing, and pipeline validation
- Integrate scripts into end-to-end workflows
Reporting & Dashboards
- Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
- Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related).
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Strong experience working in sensitive or controlled data environments.
- Advanced SQL proficiency (Amazon Redshift, Oracle preferred).
- Experience with large, relational datasets and data structures.
- Strong understanding of joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting data discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Experience building recurring reports and dashboards.
- Strong attention to detail and data validation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–6 years of post-college professional experience.
- Experience with predictive analytics or modeling.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with automation tools and scheduling frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive-level decision-making.
