The Role:
Canopius require an experienced Project Manager to join the Change Team in the Centre of Operational Excellence office in Manchester to work across business strategic projects.
Working alongside the Data, Architecture and Technology teams and business stakeholders, the Project Manager will be working on key projects to drive effective delivery, share best practices and continuously improve delivery outcomes that support Canopius’ continuing growth ambitions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day management of all project activities, and delivery with defined scope, success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) within budget, on time in line with Change Delivery standards.
- The capture and agreement of clear and measurable scope at the start of the project
- To design, plan and implement projects, either standalone or as part of a larger programme, or programmes according to scope, targets and objectives set for time of delivery, budget and quality.
- Successful project/programme delivery in line with the defined success criteria and set goals.
- Lead identification of risks, actions, and issues through proactive communication and collaboration with stakeholders and various teams
- Champion consistent project delivery standards, reporting and governance, supporting maturity and quality across the Change portfolio
- Stakeholder management across the business, including C-suite.
- Creation, preparation and running of steering groups and other governance groups
- Creation of a communication plan to ensure comms are clear, transparent and timely
- Identification and management of dependencies across a diverse portfolio of Change
- Drive successful adoption of the delivered solution working with stakeholders to ensure appropriate roll-out strategy, operational readiness and measurable benefits realisation and engagement.
- Share lessons learned, best practices and delivery insights to support continuous improvement across projects and programmes
Skills:
- An understanding of London Market insurance
- Proven track record of successful project/programme delivery
- Effective communication and presentation skills tailored for the needs of the audience
- Good stakeholder management skills as the role will involve working with cross functional teams people from all areas of the organisation and at all levels
- Ability to produce high quality project documentation
- Being proactive and working in a structured way
- Experience working in multi‑disciplinary teams across Change, Technology and Data
- Passion for improving delivery ways of working and contributing beyond individual assignments
