Data Mapping Analyst — Banking Migration

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Data Mapping Analyst to join a large-scale Banking Migration programme on a remote basis. You will be responsible for mapping, reconciling, and overseeing data across legacy and target systems, ensuring accurate migration aligned with business and compliance requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a transformational banking programme from a fully remote position.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of banking applications and

the data that underpins them

  • Translate migration needs into clearly defined data

attributes across multiple workstreams

  • Understand and manage data synchronisation and

reconciliation across data transfer files

  • Design and implement effective database queries to

match, retrieve, and extract data

  • Identify database structural requirements by evaluating

migration operations and engineering processes

  • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure

compliance with internal and external regulations

  • Oversee data migration from legacy systems to new

solutions end-to-end

  • Provide consultation and support to database

engineering teams

  • Recommend improvements to JCL queries and

Oracle/Mainframe database queries

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of banking applications and the

data structures that support them

  • Proven experience in data migration, including the use

of ETL tooling

  • Solid understanding of data synchronisation and

reconciliation processes

  • Ability to design effective database queries

(Oracle/Mainframe)

  • Experience with JCL queries and legacy mainframe data

environments

  • Awareness of regulatory compliance in a banking or

financial services context
