GLI is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and support our Systems Delivery team across the APAC region.

What You Will Accomplish Here…

As the Engineering Manager for our Systems Delivery team, you will be responsible for all aspects of management, including but not limited to, performance and coaching, customer service, quality, budgeting, and scheduling. You will lead the teams responsible for the testing, certification, and delivery of gaming technology systems, including casino management systems, cashless gaming solutions, promotional and loyalty platforms, kiosks, progressive jackpot systems, and other regulated backend technologies. The role ensures efficient project delivery, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of gaming systems and emerging technologies.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team supporting engineering delivery systems, tools, and processes.
  • Establish team objectives and KPI’s and hold the team accountable to these performance goals.
  • Provide technical guidance on gaming systems and gaming interfaces, including; online systems, progressive systems, EFT systems, mobile gaming, igaming, etc.
  • Own and continuously improve engineering delivery processes, developing scalable workflows that support operations.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities that improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with QA, Compliance, and Delivery Management teams to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements applicable to operations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships

Experience, Education, Skills and Credentials:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience working with operating systems, databases, networking, and computer hardware/software.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of networking infrastructure, topology, client/server software, including OBDC databases, SQL server, Oracle and/or DB2.
  • Knowledge of functional testing tools, Selenium and JIRA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have demonstrated professionalism, including while working under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, while maintaining a realistic balance among priorities.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

Preferred or a Plus:

  • Gaming industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting global organisations.

Location: Melbourne or Sydney

Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours or more per week.

Travel: Up to 20% travel required to tradeshows, conference, or other office locations, as needed.
