Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the use of the full range of Project Management Process.
  • Provide support on day-to-day delivery of projects and demonstrate the ability to take on tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Support knowledge capture, sharing and innovation.
  • Support preparation and evaluation of tenders, contractor selection and contract documentation.
  • Support risk and value management.
  • Support contract administration for relevant contract provisions, monthly reporting, project meetings and other administration-based tasks.
  • Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner to a high standard of quality.
  • Undertake service delivery is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the business, particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
  • Undertake service in compliance with client’s corporate governance procedures where applicable.
  • Achieve all objectives as required by the annual performance review process.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Support development and management of the project programmes and obtaining the buy-in off all stakeholders.

 

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Developing knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
  • Minimal experience and basic understanding of industry standard forms of contract, typically JCT and NEC.
  • Limited technical project management skills. More developed skills around following PM Processes: Risk, Opportunities and Issues, Change control.
  • Experience of supporting delivery of multiple projects. Developing an understanding of the entire project life cycle.
  • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with both client and staff.
  • Support stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Industry specific HND/ONC.
  • Associate status with APM or RICS.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation.
  • A basic understanding of leadership techniques.
  • 2+ years’ experience.
