About the Role:
As a Project Manager I position you will support Account Managers by organizing order details and coordinating projects. This role improves client satisfaction and efficiency by ensuring accurate production and timely updates. By maintaining clear communication and high standards, the Project Manager I supports the company's goal of delivering quality products and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, or Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assists account manager with pre-sale activities such as sample materials and color match targets.
- Collaborate with assigned account managers to collect order details and enter them accurately into the ERP system. Also responsible for gathering all required information to set up new customer accounts.
- Schedules project launch meetings with appropriate internal team members (when applicable).
- Manages artwork process including downloading client art, setting up internal art folders, reviewing quality of art files, submitting to prepress and working with client for final art approval.
- Submits purchase requisitions for vendor supplied materials and ensure POs are linked to order.
- Tracks open orders through the production process and alerts account manager to issues that may disrupt on-time shipment.
- Monitors daily reports to ensure all order details are complete in ERP to allow for accurate production, shipping and billing of the job.
- Serves as the first point of contact for internal departments when questions arise about the project.
- Provides status updates, tracking information, pro-forma invoices, etc. to clients.
- Requires detailed direction from Account Manager or leader for product, process and system questions through daily interactions..

Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Knowledge of manufacturing processes allows the manager to anticipate challenges and implement solutions that maintain quality and compliance. Preferred skills such as Lean or Six Sigma methodologies enhance the ability to drive process improvements and optimize operational efficiency. Additionally, familiarity with ERP systems supports seamless integration of project activities with broader organizational workflows, contributing to successful project delivery.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Flexibility with working days and hours is required to meet customer demands. 8+ hours per working day excluding breaks.
