Job Duties
Under direct supervision from the Production Supervisor:
- The Production Tech specializes in working in office, field, or laboratory recording and analyzing data and writing reports.
- Fieldwork includes assisting geologists and engineers with electronic, sonic, or nuclear measuring instruments that indicate the potential for oil and gas; gathering and analyzing well and production data; assisting in well optimization and well failure analysis and preparing monthly performance reports for each producing well.
- Office work includes reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for production, new completes, recompletes and workovers and preparing Weekly Production Report and Up/Down Reports; Weekly Activity Report operations and Flowback Reports for new completes and recompletes.
- Laboratory work includes assisting geologists and engineers with electronic, sonic, or nuclear measuring instruments that indicate the potential for oil and gas; collecting formation, mud and soil samples and preparing the samples for laboratory analysis; conducting scientific tests on samples to determine content and characteristics; recording data from tests and compiling information from reports, computer databases and other sources; recording data such as well temperatures, pressures, flow rates and watercut and comparing actual productivity to estimates.
Additional Role Responsibilities:
(1). Plan, coordinate and execute process design, development, validation and documentation in line with company procedures. (2). Support and ensure conformity with current systems, external auditory compliance and accreditations on an on-going basis. (3). Monitory production, operations, maintenance services in plants. (4). Provide the professional technical support services for production equipment and facilities.
(5). Support the team goals by providing production knowledge, tracking and optimizing production rates, and ensuring operational best practice methods are followed; (6). Conducts daily internal production reporting and operational summary. (7). Track and identify production deviations and implement corrective measures from wellhead to export; (8). Provide the professional methods and working experience to improve the production volume.
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Requires a minimum 3 years' experience in production operations which includes experience in oil & gas operations.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook are preferable.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 10-years relevant experience in their discipline or in an operations environment within the oil & gas industry.
