Senior DevOps Engineer

SSS is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate and maintain our enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, deployment pipelines and DevOps platforms. The role reports to the IT Director and works closely with software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise application teams. It is offshore-based, serving Samir Group (KSA), and works full-time on-site from our Heliopolis office.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

• Automate build, test, deployment and rollback; manage Git repositories, branching strategies and releases.

• Implement blue-green, rolling and canary deployments with security scanning and quality gates.

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture

• Design and administer Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, including networking, VMs, load balancers, storage and identity.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation.

• Design high-availability and disaster recovery architectures, manage hybrid connectivity and optimize cloud cost.

Containers & Kubernetes

• Build and maintain Docker environments; deploy and administer Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) with Helm.

• Manage registries, secrets, ingress controllers and service networking; monitor container security and performance.

Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• Administer Linux and Windows Server; automate provisioning, patching and configuration.

• Manage DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, reverse proxies and web servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS).

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application performance issues.

Cybersecurity & DevSecOps

• Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency and container vulnerability scanning into pipelines.

• Implement secrets management (Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault), RBAC and least-privilege access.

• Apply secure configuration baselines and automated compliance checks, supporting Saudi NCA controls and PDPL requirements.

Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

• Implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch and ELK/OpenSearch.

• Define SLIs/SLOs, lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, and improve availability and recovery.

Enterprise Applications & Integration

• Support secure deployment and integration of enterprise applications, working with Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM and Oracle Integration Cloud teams.

• Support REST APIs, webhooks, message queues and integration platforms across dev, test, staging and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.

• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.

• Proven experience managing production cloud infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS.

• Hands-on expertise in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux and Windows Server.

• Scripting in Python, PowerShell and Bash.

• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls and load balancers.

• Operational knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills in English.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
