Are you interested in intelligent systems that accompany millions of letters and parcels on their journey every day? Are you passionate about analysing complex processes and developing sustainable solutions with various specialist units? In this role, you shape the further development of a business-critical coding solution at the interface between IT, logistics and automated sorting systems. You help us ensure reliable, future-orientated processing of consignments throughout Switzerland.
How you make a difference
- You analyse and document specialist and technical requirements and derive clear, implementable system requirements and specifications in accordance with defined standards.
- You work with specialist units, IT staff and software suppliers, taking advantage of your expertise to develop feasible solutions and clarify interfaces, dependencies and impact on existing processes.
- You coordinate changes between business, IT, operations and external partners and support them throughout the process, from the definition of requirements through to productive implementation.
- You plan releases, create test concepts and test cases, carry out integration tests and ensure production readiness with those involved.
- You analyse incidents across various systems, interfaces and processing steps, identify their causes using logs, monitoring data and alerts, and devise sustainable solutions for stabilizing and optimizing operations.
- You help shape the technological development of our application landscape and make targeted use of modern resources, including AI-supported tools.
- You work with your team to ensure reliable operation and take care of regular daytime and on-call services.
What you have to offer
- You have a university degree in informatics, business informatics or a related field, as well as several years of experience in business analysis, application management, system and integration engineering or IT operations.
- You can translate specialist requirements into technical specifications and liaise confidently between business, operations, development and external partners.
- You are enthusiastic about complex systems, interfaces and asynchronous message flows, and you analyse error patterns in a structured manner using logs and monitoring data, making a valuable contribution.
- You have experience with tests and releases and take responsibility for everything from analysis to introduction; knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, APIs, Kafka, MQTT, Splunk, Grafana or image and text recognition is an advantage.
- You have a very good spoken and written command of German and English, work independently and methodically and play an active role in agile teams.
- You are willing to work regularly in Bern and, if required, at parcel and letter center locations throughout Switzerland.
