Description

BriefCam, recently acquired by Milestone, a Canon company, is the industry’s leading provider of Video Synopsis® solutions for rapid video review and search, real-time alerting, and quantitative research insights.

We are growing and looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager with a strong background in software development or DevOps, and a deep understanding of AI-driven systems, including hardware-accelerated architectures, to join our core product team. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for driving the development and execution of the product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions to market.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining product and service specifications and requirements; making decisions regarding priorities and the execution and release of the technical areas’ roadmap
  • Define and evaluate performance, scalability, and cost benchmarks for AI-driven, hardware-accelerated systems, and use them to guide product decisions and prioritization in close collaboration with Engineering.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure that the product meets the requirements in terms of user experience, engineering feasibility, and customer expectations.

Analyze customer usage and feedback continuously and communicate the roadmap and priorities to all stakeholders.

  • Meet with customers and partners worldwide to gather feedback, requirements, and priorities for R&D.
  • Engage in close collaboration with management and global business teams on new product opportunities and product roadmap.
  • Incorporate feedback from customers into the product design cycle, including the creation of specifications and designs (hands-on).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management at a technology company, working on a B2B, on-premise, highly technical product – Mandatory Very strong technical skills with the ability to understand and discuss modern architectural concepts, cloud/on-premise deployments and terminology, algorithms, APIs, and integration details. – Mandatory
  • Strong technical depth in at least one of the following domains:
  • High-performance computing and hardware-accelerated systems, including GPUs, AI and ML workloads, performance optimization, and hardware-software tradeoffs.
  • Platform and integration architecture, including APIs, SDKs, and complex system interoperability.
  • An understanding of the development and delivery of Linux-based products, the Linux ecosystem and the latest trends in Linux installation
  • Ability to deeply understand and translate market/customer problems and opportunities to clearly articulated product requirements.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts, architectures, and trade-offs into clear, plain-language explanations that enable informed decision-making by executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • An initiator and a pusher. Has the urge and ability to make things happen and to solve practical problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to balance near-term needs and strategic business vision, deal with changes, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strategic thinker, with drive and proven experience for making an impact and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills: collaborating, negotiating, persuading, writing, public speaking and listening, primarily in English.
  • Experience in video / video analytics products – strong advantage.
  • Vertical specific experience: law enforcement, retail, transportation, Health – advantage.
  • Bachelor or master’s degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
