Shape the Future of Industrial Analytics as a Data Scientist
Join us in shaping the future of industrial analytics. As a Data Scientist in our Information Management Application Development team, you will turn complex data into actionable insights that improve customer performance, reliability, and sustainability. You will develop advanced algorithms, analyze large-scale time-series datasets, and create analytics solutions that deliver real business value. Collaborating with process experts, data engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help transform innovative ideas into commercial products used by industrial customers around the world.
Your responsibilities
- You will design and develop advanced analytics models and algorithms that transform complex time-series data into actionable insights for industrial customers.
- You will turn innovative ideas into commercial products and develop data-driven solutions that improve process performance and help predict equipment failures.
- You will ensure the reliability, accuracy, efficiency, and cybersecurity of analytics solutions through testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
- You will create and maintain clear documentation and contribute to the long-term maintenance and usability of analytics solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
- You will collaborate closely with process experts, data engineers, platform developers, and delivery teams, while supporting analytics-related problem solving across the organization and resolving complex incidents when needed.
Expectations for you
- You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- You have experience in a Data Scientist or similar role and strong Python skills.
- You have hands-on experience in machine learning, statistics, signal processing, or software engineering, and a track record of developing production-ready analytics solutions.
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, AWS, AI/GenAI, React, and time-series data is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of process technology, predictive maintenance, or Valmet DNA/DNAe systems is considered an advantage.
- You are interested in product development and motivated to support and continuously enhance solutions throughout their lifecycle in a global environment.
- You have advanced English communication skills; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
