We are currently looking for a Network Administrator to join our team in Dubai and support the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and development of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (MikroTik RouterOS, Fortinet FortiOS) in line with approved architecture standards.
- Manage Fortinet and MikroTik firewall rules, NAT, VLAN segmentation, and security zones (physical security networks, management, and user segments).
- Support High Availability (HA) mechanisms (MLAG, VRRP, FortiGate HA) and monitor link redundancy to ensure continuous uptime.
- Conduct regular network surveys, health checks, and audits to provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements and modernization.
- Maintain and tune network monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK).
- Configure and support centralized user authentication and access control for network infrastructure (RADIUS, LDAP).
- Resolve network incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and keep operational documentation and network diagrams up to date.
- Write and maintain basic operational scripts (RouterOS/FortiOS CLI) and Ansible playbooks for automated backups, line status analysis, and routine tasks.
- Handle network-related Service Desk requests, including access permissions, DNS record changes, IP allocations (IPAM), and user connectivity issues.
- Perform hands-on physical infrastructure work: rack mounting equipment, cable routing, patch panel cross-connections, and socket/cabling maintenance in server rooms.
- Oversee and supervise structured cabling work performed by external subcontractors or internal teams.
- Maintain hardware inventory, tracking spare equipment, patch cords, and passive components.
- Monitor hardware capacity, participate in equipment budget planning for new offices/premises, and manage tech refreshes.
Required Experience:
- Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting MikroTik (RouterOS) and Fortinet (FortiOS) hardware in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking fundamentals: VLANs, LACP, VRRP, static/dynamic routing, NAT, and stateful firewalling.
- Practical experience with enterprise monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK/syslog) and network AAA protocols (RADIUS, LDAP).
- Practical experience with physical infrastructure (SCS), rack mounting, patch panels, and supervising cabling subcontractors.
- Experience handling Service Desk requests, network audits, IPAM, and inventory/procurement planning for new sites.
- Familiarity with vendor scripting (RouterOS/FortiOS CLI) and basic Ansible for routine automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on, proactive approach to maintaining physical and logical network stability.
Languages
- English: Intermediate (B1).
- Ukrainian: Native or fluent proficiency.
