Requirements

Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting, with a CA or CPA designation preferred. At least 3 years of experience in FMCG commercial finance is required, along with strong analytical, strategic, and relationship-building skills.

About the role

This role is accountable for collaborating with business stakeholders across North Asia, South Asia & MEA Sales and Emerging Markets Marketing functions to understand performance and develop plans that deliver the financial objectives of Business.

Business Partnering and Decision Support

  • Provide sound financial reporting to ensure a clear understanding of actual performance exists
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in generating, developing and executing Sales and Marketing plans
  • Help build increased commercial acumen across the sales team by demonstrating a sound understanding of the P&L and its drivers
  • Deliver insightful recommendations in a persuasive and thoughtful manner

Manage the delivery of financial commitments

  • Ensure monthly deadlines are met and tasks completed in a robust manner
  • Identify opportunities to deliver financial commitments
  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation activities

Budgeting, Forecasting and Long Term Planning

  • Assist in the completion of financial planning (budgets, forecasts, long term plans) in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teams and FP&A
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and tasks completed in a robust manner

Drive Commercial Performance & Management of Investment Expenditure

  • Working with the Sales and Marketing teams to accurately report, manage and analyse investment expenditure, with a focus on improving ROI
  • Financial evaluation of activities and investments (e.g. distributor incentives, tactical investment, trade sell) including promotional effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with internal Pricing guidelines

Relationship Management

  • Collaborates and builds relationships with senior leaders / stakeholders and across all functions

Other

  • Other duties, including projects, as required

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or Accounting
  • CA / CPA preferred
  • 3+ years experience in FMCG commercial finance
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional team members
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Effective planning and project management skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Proven financial modelling skills
