Life on the team
The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling Agile delivery teams to maximise value delivery through effective application of Scrum principles, Agile practices, and continuous improvement. The role acts as a servant leader, coach, facilitator, and delivery enabler, ensuring teams operate efficiently while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Solution Architects, Platform Teams, and Business Stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery of business outcomes and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery Facilitation
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Backlog Refinement Sessions
- Support sprint goal definition and delivery planning.
- Ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum principles.
- Drive effective sprint execution and outcome-based delivery.
Team Coaching & Agile Maturity
- Coach teams on Agile values, Scrum framework, Lean practices, and DevOps principles.
- Foster self-organising and high-performing teams.
- Support teams in improving estimation, planning, quality, and delivery predictability.
- Mentor Product Owners and team members on Agile best practices.
Delivery Governance & Metrics
- Monitor and report delivery metrics including:
- Velocity
- Sprint Burndown
- Lead Time
- Cycle Time
- Predictability
- Flow Efficiency
- Maintain delivery dashboards within Azure DevOps.
- Provide transparent reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Dependency Management
- Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and platforms.
- Facilitate collaboration between Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams.
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and team objectives.
- Support planning activities across programmes and value streams.
Risk & Impediment Management
- Proactively identify delivery risks and impediments.
- Escalate and track blockers to resolution.
- Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Drive risk mitigation activities.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Lead retrospective actions to drive measurable improvements.
- Promote Agile maturity assessments and capability development.
- Encourage automation, DevOps adoption, and continuous learning.
- Drive process improvements to increase delivery efficiency.
What you’ll need
Essential
Agile Delivery
- Strong knowledge of Scrum Framework.
- Practical experience with Kanban and Lean methodologies.
- Understanding of SAFe or scaled Agile delivery models.

Experience Required
- 3-5+ years as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
- Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, software engineering, automation, or platform teams.
- Track record of delivering successful Agile programmes and products.
- Experience with distributed global teams.
