Job Title: Senior Android Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Project Description

Our client, a leading enterprise retail company, is seeking a Senior Android Developer to design and build lists and registry experiences within a large-scale, high-traffic Android application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sophisticated features for a major Android application
  • Lead discovery and high-level design on medium-to-large scope projects
  • Manage code, environment configurations, and release processes across multiple environments
  • Lead and mentor a small engineering team (3-5 engineers)
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues; drive performance optimization
  • Collaborate with product, design, and scrum teams in an agile environment

Mandatory Skills

  • 5+ years of native Android development experience in Java/Kotlin
  • Demonstrated experience shipping and maintaining live apps on Google Play
  • Prior experience as a technical/team lead on complex deliverables
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • JavaScript/React Native
  • Server-side REST API development (Node.js or similar frameworks)
