As a Junior PHP Developer, you will become part of our development team and work primarily with PHP and Laravel. You will start with clearly defined development tasks and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything.

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation, around one year of practical experience, and the motivation to become an excellent software developer.

Tasks

You will work on real customer and internal software projects while receiving clear guidance, code reviews, and regular feedback.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining web applications with PHP and Laravel

• Implementing new features based on technical requirements and user stories

• Building and integrating REST APIs

• Working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

• Fixing bugs and improving existing application functionality

• Writing clean, understandable, and maintainable code

• Supporting the development of automated tests

• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

• Working with Git-based development workflows

• Collaborating with frontend developers, project managers, and other team members

• Documenting your work and keeping assigned tasks up to date

• Gradually taking ownership of individual features and application components

Depending on the project, you may also work with technologies such as Vue.js, JavaScript, Docker, queues, third-party APIs, and automation platforms.

Requirements

This role is a good fit for you if you:

• Have approximately one year of practical experience in PHP development

• Have already worked with Laravel on professional, university, freelance, or personal projects

• Understand the fundamentals of object-oriented programming

• Have experience working with databases and SQL

• Understand the basics of REST APIs and web application architecture

• Have basic experience with Git

• Can independently understand and complete clearly defined development tasks

• Are willing to ask questions when requirements are unclear

• Are interested in writing clean and maintainable code

• Are reliable and communicate progress or blockers openly

• Have excellent English skills at C1 or C2 level

• Are based in or near Prishtina and are able to work in a hybrid setup

Experience with Vue.js, automated testing, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud environments is an advantage, but not required.

A university degree is welcome, but practical skills, motivation, and the quality of your work are more important to us.
